Getting on the same page—transformation

Transformation is an effort to unify the Pantex Plant and the Y-12 National Security Complex as one team, working better together, to serve the National Nuclear Security Administration’s mission and deliver critical products and services. In the dynamic international nuclear environment, we must prove that our strong traditions and reputation of excellence are still relevant, while adapting our processes to better serve NNSA, and in turn, the nation. Our daily activities here at Consolidated Nuclear Security, and throughout transformation, will influence nuclear best practices nationwide.

CNS is committed to fulfilling NNSA expectations by adhering to our daily absolutes: safety, security, mission delivery, quality and cost efficiency. In order to maintain our position as leaders in nuclear production, we must achieve the
following goals:
• Improve performance in completion of missions for nuclear production operations
• Transition/merge operations at dispersed centers of excellence under a single contract
• Reduce the cost of performing work in support of NNSA goals
