2008 Pension Plan Form 5500 Annual Report

The Pension Protection Act (PPA) made a number of changes to disclosing defined benefit plan information to participants. It added a new annual funding notice, deleted the requirement that employers distribute a summary annual report, and added the requirement that employers post information from the IRS Form 5500 (also referred to as the annual report).

Review the pension plan's IRS Form 5500, which contains basic plan information and an actuarial report for the period ending December 31, 2008.
