Veterans… do you have a strong electronics background, a mechanical aptitude, and proficient computer skills? If so, the B&W Clinch River Company needs 80 team oriented Engineering technicians/technologists at the Oak Ridge facility over the next two years. A B.S. degree in a related field or an A.S. technical degree with relevant experience is desired. Candidates must be U.S. citizens and able to transfer a “Secret” clearance in status to acquire and maintain a DOE “Q” clearance. B&W Clinch River also has arrangements with Pellissippi State Technical Community College to acquire the needed A.S. degrees. Salaries for technicians with a A.S. degrees begin at a minimum of approximately $42,000 per year. Materials and Chemistry Laboratory (McLinc)
offers analytical chemistry consulting and characterization services. The employee-owned, small business is located in the East Tennessee Technology Park in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. Services are provided in the areas of specialty environmental analysis (including asbestos analysis, metal speciation), chemical process optimization (treatability, corrosion investigations, bench-scale modeling), and industrial forensics (specialists in electron microscopy and uranium chemistry). The laboratory is licensed to handle radiologically contaminated and hazardous materials and operates under a DOE-approved, Q-level security plan.
