Emergency response personnel at the Y-12 National Security Complex are responding to a fire at the Oak Ridge, Tennessee facility.
The fire, which was extinguished at 8:23 a.m., is not associated with any radioactive materials.
The fire was extinguished by a combination of water sprinkler activation in the building and the response of the Y-12 Fire Department.
As a precautionary measure, employees were evacuated within a 165-foot area from the building.
The two employees who discovered the fire were taken to Y-12 Occupational Health Services for evaluation as a precautionary measure.
The building contains the Rubber Shop, which produces parts for container operations.
Accountability of all employees has been completed.
