The Anderson County Chamber of Commerce recently held its Annual Business Luncheon to recognize local companies and people for their business excellence and community spirit. Among those honored was Y-12’s education outreach specialist Kristin Waldschlager, who received one of the R. C. Hoskins awards.

Among her achievements, Waldschlager was recognized for her involvement with the Chamber’s Board of Directors as the Education Outreach Specialist, the Youth Leadership Anderson County program, and her work coordinating the Dream It. Do It. program in Anderson County.

The R.C. “Dudley” Hoskins Awards are given annually to an outstanding male and female for their contribution to the community through the Chamber and other organizations. This award is named for Mr. Hoskins, founder of Hoskins Drug Stores, and the Clinton Businessman’s association that became the Clinton Chamber in 1932, and renamed the Anderson County Chamber of Commerce in 1984.

Chamber President Rick Meredith congratulates Waldschlager at the February 9 luncheon.
